Anandi received her PhD in the Graduate Division of Religion at Emory University focusing on themes of lived religion, multisensory ethnography, and religious practices in transnational Hindu traditions. She is also on the editorial board of the Programming Historian and serves as the managing editor for the publication for 2018-2019.

Anandi partners with faculty, librarians, students, and staff in the creation of digital projects supporting research, pedagogy, and publishing. Her roles within the center include consultation, project coordination, and content and site development. Anandi also manages the Digital Scholarship Internship Program (DSIP) that provides internship opportunities to graduate students and undergraduates.
